"Teachers are those who use themselves as bridges, over which they invite their students to cross, then having facilitated their crossing joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own".

DAV Public School, Unit-8, Bhubaneswar established in 1971 has been imparting education to the students of this historic temple city, with out any gender discrimination. It is being managed by the School Managing Committee which is a constituent of the DAV College Trust and Management Society, New Delhi.

The school, spread over an extensive campus of about 4.57 acres, presently bears a strength of more than 3000 students with an additional 4.25 acres of expansive and well developed playground, specially for training the children in various sports and games.

The school prepares the students both for the senior secondary and secondary examination conducted by the CBSE. Students are trained with a view to give them a wide opportunity in all modern software technology.

The school's achievement in the past, its glorious tradition of maintaining result needs no mention. The students have achieved phenomenal success in the school and other levels, and have the distinction of settling well in life both inside and outside the country.
